AUP Signs Contract for Medical Center Phase 1 Construction
AUP marked a significant milestone with the formal signing of the contract for the AUP Medical Center–Phase 1 Construction with Trass Construction Co., Inc. at the Conference Room, Administrative Office Building, on February 23, 2026. Dr. Arceli Rosario, University president, and Mr. Joseph Tan, TRASS Construction Co., Inc., chief executive officer, signed the contract, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort between the University and TRASS bringing the vision of the AUP Medical Center to reality.
Representing AUP during the contract signing were Mrs. Aileenmae Silverio, vice president for finance; Atty. Gizelle Lou Fuguso, Univer- sity legal counselor; Engr. Jessrel Lagariza, director of Physical Plant and Facilities; Mr. Reynaldo Laberinto, administrative assistant for legal counsel; and Mr. Oemer Rey Daquila, director for Advancement.
University officials expressed optimism about the development, emphasizing that the project represents a forward step in expanding the institution’s capacity to serve both the academic community
and the broader public. Through initiatives such as the AUP Medical Center, the University continues to advance its mission of integrating education, healthcare, and service to pursue a healthier, stronger future for the community.
The AUP Medical Center is envisioned to support the University’s growing healthcare initiatives while providing expanded opportuni- ties for medical education, training, and service. Once completed, the AUP Medical Center is expected to enhance the University’s capacity to deliver quality healthcare while contributing to the professional formation of future health practitioners.
