The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) was recently honored with a Plaque of Recognition by the Department of Education (DepEd) Region IV-A CALABARZON Division of Cavite Province, naming the institution as one of its outstanding stakeholders. Representing the University, Dr. Eunice Carpizo, Community Extension Services director, received the award during the 2026 Stakeholders’ Summit at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort, Tanza, Cavite, on May 29, 2026.

This award recognizes AUP’s meaningful community extension services at Puting Kahoy Elementary School during the 2025–2026 school year. The University’s program benefited students and the broader community through initiatives including a Journalism for Young Voices workshop, dental assessment and education, physical assessment, a six-week feeding and nutrition education program, and a medical mission coupled with mental health programs. These efforts reflect AUP’s commitment to service and its partnership with public schools in nurturing the holistic well-being of learners in Cavite.
