Dr. Bea Carranza Ranks 1st in the DLE 2024

by | Dec 20, 2024

“Hindi ako ‘to, si Lord ‘to,” Dr. Beamor Dante Carranza confessed that this was not her but the Lord as she emerged as top 1 during the November 2024 Dental Licensure Examinations, earning a remarkable score of 84.40%.
Dr. Bea, as she is commonly known, shared the personal challenges and spiritual experiences that guided her throughout her preparation for the board exams:

“I had many doubts,” Carranza confessed. “I struggled to focus and tried various study methods, but nothing seemed to help. In my moment of uncertainty, I turned to prayer. I remember saying, ‘Lord, kayo na po bahala sa’kin (You take care of it for me). I surrender everything to You,'” she testified that she felt vulnerable and all she had was prayer.
Carranza recollected her experience during the exams at the testing center with a heart full of doubts. “I wasn’t excited; I had doubts creeping in. But then, I remembered something important—I brought my prayer. I stopped for a moment and prayed: ‘Lord, kayo na po mag-sagot ng exam (Lord, please take charge of my exam) I am not sure of anything),’ she recollected that during the exams, all she had was this short prayer that she kept repeating to herself quietly throughout the exam. Even after the practical exams, she had doubts because, based on her assessment, it felt like she would not pass the boards.

Faith carried her through the difficult waiting period after the practical exams as the licensure exam results loomed. “During the 10 days of waiting, my prayer remained constant: ‘Lord, give me peace of mind to accept whatever exam results I have,'” she shared because she had a mindset that she would not pass the exam, but the Lord had other plans for Dr. Bea.

Dr. Bea affirms that the results she accepted now are more than she prayed for. For her, it was mindblowing and required a lot of processing. She never thought she would pass but managed to be at the top of the board.

Dr. Herminiano Subido, the Dean of the AUP College of Dentistry, shared his thoughts on Carranza’s remarkable achievement. “When I first saw her name on the list, I did not realize it was the top 10. I was dumbfounded. All the memories of Bea flashed before me,” he mentioned when the results came out. “It’s really inspiring to see someone who struggled alongside others, someone who was just like everyone else, achieve something that seemed impossible. This is truly God’s gift,” he added as he shared how amazing and inspiring this milestone is.

“My journey is just a showcase of how powerful prayer can be and what God can do. I never asked to be on top and was never an A student, but God allowed it to happen. Maybe He wants to show me and you what great things He can do if you only surrender it to Him,” she testified.
