CTE Empowers NLPUM Teachers Through SNED Certification
Sixty basic education teachers from five missions of the Northern Luzon Philippine Union Mission (NLPUM) celebrated the culmination of the Certificate in Special Needs Education (CSNED) program at the NLPUM Compound in Pasay City, on October 11, 2026. The program marked a significant milestone in their commitment to becoming more responsive, inclusive, and compassionate educators for learners with diverse needs.
The College of Teacher Education (CTE), the certification provider, expressed its full support, with Dr. Jeremiah Fameronag, the CTE dean, delivering an inspirational message and Dr. Cecil Ronia, the CTE Elementary Education department chair, charging the completers. Both emphasized the vital role of teachers in nurturing every learner’s potential and reflecting Christ’s love through inclusive, learner-centered education.
Dr. Ardie Diaz, the NLPUM education director, vision and dedication, supported by the NLPUM Administration represented by Germilyn Rabang, NLPUM treasurer, made the initiative possible. The newly certified teachers are now better equipped to serve as instruments of hope, bringing greater understanding, practical strategies, and Christ-centered care to children with special educational needs in Adventist schools.
