AUP and PIC Health Expo-Medical Mission Serves Nearly 2000 in Restore Health Festival Weekend
As part of the Restore Health Festival Weekend, the University, in collaboration with the Philippine International Church (PIC), served nearly 2000 individuals during the health expo medical mission at the Samuel P. Dizon Auditorium on October 12, 2025.
Designed as an in-reach initiative, the event catered to AUP students, faculty, staff, their families, and members of PIC. Through the effort of 26 physicians, 11 AUP health service professionals, 6 College of Medicine students, 9 College of Nursing students, 6 pastors, and 23 student volunteers.
The mission offered free consultations and services: internal medicine, obstetrician-gynecologist, pediatrics, ENT, dermatology, rehabilitation medicine, minor surgery, circumcision, musculoskeletal ultrasound, interventional pain management, lifestyle medicine, legal counseling, pastoral care and prayer, and dental extraction.
Beyond providing medical care, the mission emphasized the biblical message of restoration, promoting wellness of body, mind, and spirit. The activity reflected AUP’s core value of exemplary service and its enduring commitment to train students for service here and for eternity.
This health in-reach reminded that true well- ness begins when followers of Christ care for others as Jesus did. “His grace is sufficient for us,” Dr. Jeimylo De Castro, the organizing doctor, testified.
A patient who received care expressed deep gratitude stated, “I came only to have my condition checked, but I left with something far greater, peace and encouragement. Everyone here served with kindness, and I truly felt God’s presence.”
