AUP and TMC-South Luzon Forge Key Partnership in Nursing Education: MOA Signing Ceremony Marks Historic Collaboration

The Adventist University of the Philippines and The Medical City-South Luzon (TMC-SL) came together for a momentous Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony on Clinical Affiliation for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The MOA, signed with the Medical City-South Luzon Hospital, was held on March 6, 2024, at the Conference Room, University Administration Office.

This agreement solidified the commitment to afford the necessary training to fulfill the College of Nursing students’ statutory requirements and establish a comprehensive training program and affiliation with TMC-SL.

 

 

The signing ceremony occurred in the presence of esteemed individuals representing both institutions: Dr. Arceli Rosario, president of AUP, and Dr. Cesar Ramon Espiritu, chief executive Officer of The Medical City-South Luzon Hospital. Among the signatories were Mrs. Aileenmae Silverio, vice president for finance; Dr. Gracel Ann Saban, vice president for academics; Dr. Raymond Caagbay, dean of the College of Nursing from the University; and Mrs. Rosybelle Miclat, head of Finance; Mrs. Leticia Carolino, head-Patient Services group; and Mr. Arnold Maniebo, director of Nursing from the TMC-SL.

 

 

Pastor Julio Amurao, vice president for student services; Dr. Susy Jael, assistant for the Center for Graduate Studies; Mr. Oemer Rey Daquila, director of Advancement; Mr. Rey Laberinto, administrative assistant for Legal Services; and Atty. Gizelle Fugoso, In-house Legal Counsel, witnessed the momentous partnership.

 

With 15 years of partnership, Dr. Cesar Ramon Espiritu expressed his sentiments about the continued collaboration between the University and The Medical City-South Luzon Hospital. This agreement of the University holds another set of history to enhance training opportunities and professional development for nursing students for excellence, innovation, and service in the healthcare field.
