The Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry under the Professional Regulation Commission conducted an official inspection and monitoring visit to the Adventist University of the Philippines College of Dentistry (COD) on July 10, 2026. The evaluation assessed the University’s academic standards, clinical facilities, and institutional compliance.

The proceedings commenced with an opening prayer offered by Dr. Denise Espanto-Torre, COD level chair. Dr. Arceli Rosario, the University president, delivered the welcome remarks to the visiting delegation, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to holistic Adventist education. Mr. Jeruel Ibanez, the Advancement alumni affairs, guest relations, and philanthropic officer, provided an institutional introduction to the University, while Dr. Susy Jael, vice president for academics, formally introduced the administrative and COD faculty team. 

Ms. Maricris B. Garcia, the Regulation Division of the Professional Regulation Commission Regional Office IV-A professional regulation assistant, introduced the members of the monitoring delegation. Honorable Dr. Merlin Go, Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry chairman, subsequently outlined the official purposes and objectives of the visit. Dr. Go explained that the evaluation aimed to monitor academic performance, verify adherence to statutory requirements, and assist the institution in maintaining national standards for dental education.

Following the introductory session, Dr. Herminiano Subido Jr., COD dean, presented a comprehensive overview of the dental program. The presentation detailed the curriculum structure, clinical facilities, faculty qualifications, and academic framework. The monitoring team from the Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry then conducted the evaluation proper, reviewing institutional documentation, instructional resources, and clinical operations.

Upon completing the review, the monitoring team presented its findings and recommendations to the university administration and college faculty. Dr. Susy Jael, vice president for academics, delivered the closing remarks, expressing appreciation for the constructive assessment and reaffirming the University’s commitment to continuous quality improvement. Dr. Luke Concel, COD level chair, concluded the official program with a closing prayer.

The regulatory visit underscores the dedication of the University to maintaining academic rigor and professional integrity across its health science programs. By subjecting its academic and clinical operations to rigorous external evaluation, the institution demonstrates that professional excellence finds its highest purpose in faithful stewardship.
