Dr. Susy Jael, vice president for academics, led the AUP delegation: Mr. Jerry Fameronag, College of Teacher Education dean; Mr. Ruben Carpizo, accreditation director; and Mr. Teofilo Esguerra, Records and Admissions Office director in attendance to the “Hirayang Dunong: The Lifelong Learning Caravan and Academic Colloquium 2026” at the Lyceum of the Philippines-Cavite, Governor’s Drive, Barangay Manggahan, General Trias, Cavite on May 26, 2026.
The Colloquium was spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IV (CHED-ROIV), under the leadership of Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, Jr., CESO III, Director IV. The activity was addressed to all public and private higher education institutions across the CALABARZON region.
The event primarily aimed to promote lifelong learning opportunities through a regional caravan that disseminated information and expanded access to the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL), and Microcredentials. Simultaneously, the academic colloquium served as a vital venue for academic leaders to discuss current academic concerns, CHED monitoring and evaluation activities, and recent issuances of the Commission.
