AUP Shines at the 40th ACSCU-ACI National Assembly

The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) participated in the 40th ACSCU-ACI National Assembly held at Roy’s Hotel & Convention Center in Bacolod City on June 17–19, 2026. The annual gathering brought together educators, school leaders, accreditors, and stakeholders from Christian educational institutions nationwide to celebrate four decades of excellence in Christian education and quality assurance.
Centered on the theme, “The Three I’s of Transformative Education: Inclusion, Innovation, and Internationalization,” the assembly provided a platform for meaningful discussions on the future of education, accreditation, and institutional development in the Philippines.

Participants attended a series of presentations from distinguished speakers who addressed the assembly’s central themes:

AUP Earns Historic Recognition at ACSCU-ACI’s 40th National Assembly
A major highlight of the 40th ACSCU-ACI National Assembly was the presentation of accreditation recognitions and special awards to member institutions that demonstrated excellence in academic quality and innovation.
The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) received several prestigious accreditation recognitions:
Level III Initial Accredited Status
- Doctor of Public Health

Level IV Initial Re-Accreditation Status
- PhD in Psychology
- Master of Arts in Psychology
- Psychology Program
- Development Communication
- Accounting Information System
These achievements reflect AUP’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and the advancement of transformative Christian education.
Historic First-Ever ACSCU-ACI Special Awards
A landmark moment during the assembly was the launch of two new ACSCU-ACI Special Awards, introduced for the first time in the organization’s 40-year history to recognize outstanding institutional achievements among member schools. AUP became one of the inaugural recipients of both awards, marking a significant milestone for the University.
Top Licensure Examination Performance Award
The College of Nursing received the Top Licensure Examination Performance Award, recognizing its exceptional success in producing graduates who excel in professional licensure examinations.
Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award
The University was likewise recognized with the Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award for its case study, “Beyond Grades: A Student-Centered Outcomes-Based Retention and Promotion Policy for Holistic Nursing Education.” The initiative, developed and implemented by the College of Nursing, was submitted to ACSCU-ACI through a collaborative effort between the College of Nursing and the Research Office. The award recognizes innovative educational practices that enhance student success while promoting holistic development and outcomes-based learning. Being among the first recipients of these newly established ACSCU-ACI awards underscores AUP’s leadership in educational innovation and excellence within the community of Christian higher education institutions in the Philippines.
AUP’s receipt of the inaugural Top Licensure Examination Performance Award and Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award stands as one of the most notable highlights of the 40th ACSCU-ACI National Assembly, affirming the University’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and transformative Christian education.
