The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), through the Guidance Office in collaboration with the Central Student Council (CSC), held a general orientation for over 560 new college students and their parents, themed “Ready, Set, Campus!” at the University Gymnasium on June 15, 2026.

The first part began with participant registration, facilitated by the CSC. Dr. Restituto Bualoy, vice president for student services, extended a warm reception to the new students and their families. The devotional message was delivered by Dr. Susy Jael, vice president for academics, setting a spiritual and inspirational tone for the orientation as students begin their academic year.

The second part was a series of institutional presentations from various University offices and departments: Mr. Ivan Perdido, Advancement marketing officer; Mr. Mervyn Allan Olarte, director of student finance; Dr. Teofilo Esguerra, Records and Admission Office director; Pastor Cerelito Cadao for Student Support Services; Dr. Levy Fajanilan, Guidance Services director; and Pastor Lani Esteves, Spiritual Development director.

Engr. Hulk Hogan Lagade oriented the student information system, AUP Shine, an essential tool for navigating the system website regarding students’ academic journey here at the University.

One of the highlights from the orientation was the special welcome from Ace and his partner, the University mascot. The students also received a welcome kit, a gift from the University, as they navigate their student life this academic year 2026-2027.

Following the orientation, the new students were led on a campus tour from 9:20 AM to 12:00 noon, facilitated by CSC, to familiarize them with the University’s facilities and various offices. Simultaneously, parents and guardians participated in a Parents’ Orientation conducted by Dr. Restituto Bualoy.
