by | Nov 21, 2022

The Adventist Accrediting Agency (AAA) Accreditation took place on November 15-17, 2022, wherein the AAA team visited the campus to evaluate various aspects of the university–from its infrastructure to the different colleges, departments, and organizations to identify their current stance and suggest ways to improve facets for better academic service. A few weeks before the event, the workers and students from different colleges and dormitories worked together to keep the classrooms presentable and the surrounding environment clean.

The AAA Team arrived on Monday, November 14, and catered to their respective abodes. On Tuesday morning, the Welcome Program commenced at Finster Hall. It involved the entrance of accreditors, the opening prayer by Spiritual Development Director Pastor Lani Esteves, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and University Song led by the AUP Ambassadors, the Welcome Remarks by the beloved President Dr. Arceli Rosario, the Introduction of Associate AUP Administration and Accreditation Committees by the dear Vice-President for Academics Dr. Gracel Ann Saban, Special Number by the AUP Ambassadors, the main part which is the Introduction of the AAA Team and Benefits of AAA Accreditation by the Associate Director of Education from the General Conference Dr. Hudson Kibuuka, Closing Rendition by the AUP Ambassadors, and Closing Prayer by COT Dean Pastor Felixian Felicitas.

Afterward, the accreditors went for a guided tour around the campus. The AAA Team immediately began their official work, including meetings, individual interviews with different personnel or groups, document review, and report writing at the Center for Graduate Studies conference room. The following day, November 17, further interviews, report compilation, and team reviews of the report were done in preparation for the closing program at 5:30 pm. The program consisted of the Exit Report by Dr. Kibuuka, the Words of Appreciation by Dr. Rosario, the Special Music rendered by the Unceasing Cantica, and the Closing Prayer by the Vice-President for Student Services Dr. Julio Amurao. By Friday, the AAA Team had left the campus.

Throughout the week, the collaborative efforts of the students, faculty, and staff were observed as the accreditors visited them in their respective classes and facilities. This positive environment, the strong academic programs, and the beautiful campus, among other things, are highly appreciated and commended by the visiting accreditors, as presented in their exit report.

See you next time, AAA Team!
