AUP and PIC Launch One Voice 27
OV27 is a global evangelistic and digital media initiative launched by the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to synchronize all available media platforms, institutions, local congregations, and individual members around one shared mission leading toward September 2027. Its public-facing message, “All Things New: Hope Starts Here,” based on Revelation 21:5), focuses on sharing Christ’s message of restoration, healing, and hope across modern media.
Pastor Lani Esteves, PIC senior pastor, opened the program by outlining the overarching framework of the movement, emphasizing that OV27 seeks to mobilize every church member and digital channel into a unified voice for global mission. Following this overview, Pastor James Cabañero, PIC associate pastor, presented the Adopt a Territory initiative, detailing strategic plans for localized outreach, peer groups, and church-planting projects.
To translate the movement’s vision into personal action, Ms. Charissa Uy, communication officer, presented a five-step participation framework: Commit, Pray, Dedicate, Share, and Reach. Worshippers were invited to scan on-screen QR codes and visit the official portal (onevoice27.org) to “add their light” to a real-time global map tracking individual and group participation across the world.
The spiritual high point of the service occurred during the commitment and device dedication ceremony led by Pastor Israel Bacdayan, Timor Leste Mission president. In a stirring address to the congregation, Pastor Bacdayan challenged believers to reorient their everyday technology into active tools for salvation.
“Let us use every gadget that we have to be our pulpit… Not all of us can preach in the pulpit, but we can share the message of salvation through our gadget. Let us use every avenue, every platform—your Facebook, your Instagram, your TikTok, your YouTube—every avenue that we can use to share the good news of salvation,” Pastor Bacdayan charged.
He urged members to look beyond routine social media sharing and instead leverage their personal networks to share the bread of life and point digital seekers toward Christ.
In response to the appeal, worshippers throughout the sanctuary and across live online feeds raised their smartphones, tablets, and laptops in unison. Pastor Bacdayan then offered a prayer of dedication, consecrating both the worshippers and their devices to the proclamation of the Three Angels’ Messages.
During the service, congregants filled out official commitment cards pledging daily prayer, Bible study, and intentional outreach to friends and relatives. These cards were collected by PIC deacons and deaconesses as the sanctuary joined in singing the official One Voice 27 theme song, marking a unified commitment to the digital mission.
