AUP Alumni Organize CLC Chapter
by Jeruel Ibañez
The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) officially organized the Central Luzon Conference (CLC) alumni chapter during the conference’s regular monthly workers’ meeting, held at Cocueco Hall on the third floor of the CLC Headquarters in Malabon City on June 30, 2026.
More than 100 pastors, educators, and conference workers witnessed the chapter’s organization, marking another milestone in the continuing effort to strengthen connections between AUP and its graduates serving throughout the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Elected to serve were Pastor Geronimo Viernes as president, Pastor Daniel Dela Paz as vice president for religious affairs, Dr. Raquel Fajardo as vice president for social affairs, Mrs. Hazel Viernes as secretary, Mrs. Lisette Argarin as treasurer, and Pastor Jojo Solabo as public relations officer.
Pastor Glenn Lagabon, the Philippine Union College–Adventist University of the Philippines National Alumni Association (PANAA) president, led the chapter’s organization. Jeruel Ibañez, PANAA public information officer, facilitated the election of officers, while Dr. Robert Borromeo, PANAA treasurer, offered the dedicatory prayer for the newly elected leadership.
The establishment of the CLC chapter reflects PANAA’s ongoing initiative to organize alumni chapters across local conferences, institutions, and organizations where AUP alumni serve.
With the new chapter in place, alumni leaders look forward to creating opportunities for fellowship, mentorship, professional networking, and collaborative ministry. They also hope the organization will inspire graduates to remain actively engaged with AUP through programs that support students, alumni, and the AUP’s mission of preparing competent professionals committed to academic excellence, Christ-like character, and exemplary service to God and humanity.
