The University observed its Spiritual Enrichment Week, which focused on the theme from Isaiah 43:19, \u201cBehold, I will do a new thing,\u201d from July 14 to 18, 2025. Dr. Robin Ramroop, the resource speaker, drew his messages from the life of Joseph. Throughout the spiritual week of nightly worship, the University community was invited to trust God\u2019s power to bring renewal, transformation, and purpose in every circumstance.<\/p>\n
The daily messages emphasized practical lessons from Joseph\u2019s journey, connecting them to Christian living and service.<\/p>\n
The opening message focused on the symbolism of Joseph\u2019s receiving a new coat, reminding the AUP community that new clothes represent a new assignment in God\u2019s work. \u201cHe wants you to do your job differently. You are not just here to teach a class. You are here to make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters,\u201d Dr. Ramroop shared. \u201cJesus wants to do a new thing in your life.\u201d<\/p>\n
The second day explored Joseph\u2019s time in the pit, pointing to God\u2019s ability to work in dark and uncertain moments. Dr. Ramroop emphasized the importance of trusting God in the pit. \u201cWhen you are in your pit, how do you respond? Would you trust Jesus with your life while you are in the pit? Jesus can still work in the darkness.\u201d Dr. Ramroop said, \u201cI have also been in a pit, but I know Jesus cares, and He can do a breakthrough in your life.\u201d<\/p>\n
The third day underscored that a change of attitude impacts spiritual altitude, drawing lessons from Joseph\u2019s life as a slave and prisoner. \u201cPut Jesus in you. Jesus can make a difference in your life. Only God in heaven can change your attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n
The fourth day highlighted Joseph\u2019s rise to rulership, pointing out that God\u2019s plans are not limited by human credentials or past failures. \u201cWe are looking for people who can enter into the hallway of trust with Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n
The final message focused on forgiveness as the key to a breakthrough, drawing from the fulfillment of Joseph\u2019s dreams. \u201cWe tell our- selves we\u2019ve already forgiven those who hurt us. We say the pain is gone. We ask Jesus to take it. But sometimes, we\u2019re still quietly holding on. Healing begins when we finally loosen our grip and let God hold what\u2019s too heavy for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through inspiring messages and moments of reflection, the AUP Spiritual Enrichment Week fostered a renewed sense of hope and faith throughout the University community. Participants were encouraged to embrace transformation, trust in God\u2019s guidance, and extend forgiveness\u2014carrying these lessons forward into their daily lives. As the week concluded, everyone was reminded that renewal is always possible through Christ, empowering each individual to face challenges with courage and purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
