Kian Sison, a 4th<\/sup> year student from AUP Tradigital Fine Arts reached the finals in the UST Annual Inter-School On-the-Spot Painting Competition on February 21, 2025. \u00a0The event, with the theme, \u201cArt Uncompromised by AI\u201d highlighted the authenticity and boundless creativity of human expression, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of artists in an era increasingly influenced by technology.<\/p>\n Sison\u2019s work entitled \u201cThis Comfort\u201d is a piece about the degradation of the human brain due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence in the 21st century. \u201cIn recent times, we\u2019ve become too comfortable and dependent, relying our entire humanity on AI, forgetting how it affects our environment. It would be hypocritical of me to say that I am not part of the problem, because I am. Unfortunately, we can\u2019t get rid of it anytime soon, so we must learn the art of accepting responsibility for our actions,\u201d Sison described the meaning behind his art.<\/p>\n The event gathered around 200 art students from various schools and universities in Luzon for a day to paint.
