In its continued pursuit of excellence, the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) welcomed the accrediting team from the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities-Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI) for a resurvey visit on October 7-11, 2024,<\/span> ensuring that its programs and services meet the standards of quality in Christian education.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The visiting ACSCU-ACI team is set to evaluate the following graduate programs: Master of Arts in Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology, Doctor in Public Health, and Master in Public Health. They will also assess the following undergraduate programs: Education (BSEd, BEEd), Psychology, Development Communication, and Accounting Information System.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The members of the ACSCU-ASI visiting team are as follows:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Master of Arts in Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy In Psychology, Doctor in Public Health and Master in Public Health Programs<\/span><\/p>\n Education (BSEd,BEEd), Psychology, Development Communication and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Accounting Information System Programs<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Activities During the Visit<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The five-day visit involved a range of activities designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of the University\u2019s academic and administrative operations. On October 8-10, the accrediting team embarked on a campus tour and visited the University\u2019s adopted barangay. They engaged in dialogues with faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as discussions with AUP administrators, college deans, and department chairs. The team also reviewed exhibits, observed classroom sessions, and participated in reflection, review, and reaffirmation activities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Exit Reports of Gratitude and Reflection<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The ACSCU-ACI representatives expressed their appreciation for the University\u2019s hospitality and commitment to quality education. \u201cLet us get the bond together. Let us continue the mutual friendship and a kind of culture that we will understand each other. Let us glorify the Lord for this accomplishment,\u201d Dr. Jonathan P. Leal, overall coordinator for undergraduate programs, highlighted the positive experience of assistance and collaboration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe accreditation period brought new insights and avenues for future success and improvements. You will surely get the accreditation level you aspire for, as we will recommend to ACSCU-ACI because of your tremendous effort and dedication,\u201d Dr. Eunice Mercado, overall coordinator for graduate programs, expressed. \u201cYou are almost there,\u201d she congratulated the academic team of the University.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In response, Dr. Arceli Rosario, the AUP president, emphasized that \u201cthe best thing we can see is when we see lives transformed at AUP. This is not just about accreditation, but about continuing a purposeful journey together. We share a passion for Christian education, training young people for this life and the life to come.” Dr. Rosario also emphasized ideals of academic growth in the mission. \u201cWe do not stop growing. We strive to become better than who we are now. This is only the beginning of our encounters. We are one in our mission to really serve our sister schools.
