AUP’s second surgical mission for this year, September 18, 2022, served 23 patients– (3) cleft lip, (9) cleft palate, (4) circumcision, and (7) minor surgeries for free at the AUP health service clinic. The event was in partnership with Philippine Band of Mercy Foundation and the International College of Surgeons-Philippine Section and in celebration of Medicine Week.<\/p>\n

Dr. Arceli Rosario, university president who just arrived from the USA, graced the occasion and welcomed community members, volunteers, and guests. She thanked the volunteers for their commitment to serving the community. She also shared AUP\u2019s commitment to help make lives better.<\/p>\n

Mr. Rey Laberinto, Administrative Assistant for Legal affairs, in his inspirational message spoke about “communiversity” emphasizing the university\u2019s important relationship to its community outside the campus. The College of Medicine choir serenaded with music to uplift the soul.<\/p>\n

AUP appreciates the doctors, nurses, and students who volunteered and helped make this program a success. Moreover, the university is highly grateful for the support of the following sponsors and partners: the AUP Health Service, College of Medicine Student Council, International College of Surgeons, V. Luna Medical Center, Unilab, and Philippine International Church Adventist Community Service department.<\/p>\n

AUP will continue to further reach out to share Jesus\u2019 love and healing ministry to the less privileged who are in need of medical care and treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
