\u00a0<\/strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CTE English\/CurrDev Faculty is responsible for teaching English major courses and professional education subjects, mentoring English major students, integrating faith and values in instruction, teaching graduate-level Curriculum Development courses, and supporting the college\u2019s instructional, research, and extension programs.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instructional Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Teach English major subjects (e.g., Linguistics, Literature, Structure of English, Language Teaching).<\/li>\n
  2. Teach professional education courses as assigned.<\/li>\n
  3. Teach graduate school courses related to Curriculum Studies \/ Curriculum Development.<\/li>\n
  4. Integrate faith, values, and character formation in all lessons, assessments, and learning activities.<\/li>\n
  5. Prepare syllabi aligned with institutional standards, CHED requirements, and outcomes-based education (OBE) frameworks.<\/li>\n
  6. Utilize varied, innovative, and technology-enhanced teaching strategies.<\/li>\n
  7. Assess student performance using valid, reliable, and outcome-based assessment tool<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Student Mentoring and Advising<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Mentor and provide academic guidance to English major students.<\/li>\n
    2. Serve as an adviser or panel member for undergraduate research.<\/li>\n
    3. Provide consultation hours for student concerns and academic assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Research and Professional Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Engage in scholarly research, publication, and conference participation.<\/li>\n
      2. Participate in research capability-building programs of the college\/university.<\/li>\n
      3. Stay updated with current trends in pedagogy, English language research, curriculum development, and teacher education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Extension and Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Assist in College of Teacher Education activities, programs, and accreditation preparation.<\/li>\n
        2. Participate in the Foster Parenting Program for CTE students.<\/li>\n
        3. Serve as sponsor or adviser for CTE-initiated clubs or organizations.<\/li>\n
        4. Support community extension activities, outreach programs, and university events.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Administrative Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and class documentation.<\/li>\n
          2. Submit reports, grades, and requirements within prescribed deadlines.<\/li>\n
          3. Perform duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the Manual of Academic Policies and other institutional guidelines.<\/li>\n
          4. Assist in college committees, special projects, and institutional initiatives as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            • Expertise in English language, linguistics, literature, and language education.<\/li>\n
            • Competence in teaching professional education courses and graduate-level curriculum-related subjects.<\/li>\n
            • Strong mentoring and advising skills for undergraduate research.<\/li>\n
            • Ability to integrate faith, values, and ethical principles in instruction.<\/li>\n
            • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.<\/li>\n
            • Proficiency in the use of learning management systems (LMS) and digital instructional technologies.<\/li>\n
            • Research competence (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods).<\/li>\n
            • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage in college initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  \u00a0<\/strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                    \n
                  • Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSEd English)<\/strong> \u2013 Required<\/em><\/li>\n
                  • Master of Arts in Education major in English (MAEd English)<\/strong> \u2013 Required<\/em><\/li>\n
                  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Curriculum Development<\/strong> \u2013 Required<\/em>, or currently pursuing\/undergoing doctoral studies in Curriculum Development or Curriculum Studies<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \n
                    • Must have at least five (5) years<\/strong> of teaching experience in basic education and\/or higher education<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Professional Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • LET Passer (Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines).<\/li>\n
                      • Preferably with PRC Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
