Monday | THE LOST IDENTITY
God has given each individual an authentic identity. To “go with the flow” is the trend that savors the confusions and seductions of this world. Beyond the peer pressures and allurements, would you be able to stand? Would you still know who you’re supposed to be?
Tuesday | THE FURNACE
Whatever goes into the furnace never comes out the same. It is never a pleasant experience to go through the fiery trials of life, but at the end of it all, what’s left is something precious and pure. Only the finest products return from the most excruciating process. God demands only the finest in us.
Wednesday | THE DAWN
Just when you have sunk into the deepest pit with no hope to spare, you see bright rays of light shoot through the sky as from the Savior's throne. Though you be the chiefest of sinners, there is no stain too fixed that the blood of Jesus cannot remove.
Thursday | TO LIVE IS TO DIE
Complete surrender of all earthly pleasures is the only way for us to be completely refined and purified by God. Believe in Him that He is the only one who can change us completely through the grace that only He can sustain.
Friday | THE BATTLE WITHIN
The line between conquering and being conquered is very thin; and just when the battle gets intense, would you give in? The world around you may not be aware or not even care. What matters most is what you would do when you’re there.
Vespers | AS BREATH IS...
Just as the body needs to breathe, so is the soul. But the tainted, corruptible atmosphere around us makes it difficult to do so. A soul cannot stand long without air, it would die. So shall we also die spiritually without a constant connection with the Source of Life.
Hour of Worship | THE REFINER
Man is utterly powerless apart from God. Not even our greatest efforts can purify our souls, but it is only through The Refiner that we may come fourth precious and pure.
