Dr. Amador Gensolin (August 16, 1922 - June 28, 2016), retired PUC Health Services dentist, died around 2:30 AM at the Medical City (formerly Southern Luzon Hospital).

Dr. Gensolin was the husband of the late Dr. Leonore Gensolin who was the dean of Philippine Union College School of Education. Dr. Amador served the university from 1952 until his retirement in 1987. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Lilian Gensolin.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,967 out of 6,925 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this May 2016.

Today, April 26, 2016 marks the completion of the College of Dentistry’s latest clinical laboratory facility for the more than 300 dentistry students enrolled this year. The total cost for the facility, with the latest in state-of-the-art dentistry chairs and air compressor plus glass, aluminum, and steel works for the rehabilitation of the annex building which houses the whole laboratory, amounted to PhP 6, 604, 009.91.

Dr. Vaughn Buaquiña, former BOT member, interim president, and founding faculty of MBA in AUP, died at the age of 56 last Friday, April 22, 2016 at Pasay General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Verla Jean (née Figuracion), and his three children, Fabrini Chelsey, Shalimar Ladenne, and Clephanie Tenney. His body lies in state at Remman Homeowner's Association, Executive Village, Parañaque.

Adventist University of the Philippines College of Education one of the Philippines’ higher education institutions was designated Center of Excellence (COE) in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994", and by virtue of the Commission en Banc Resolution No. 193-2016 dated March 14, 2016 for the purpose of establishing COEs and CODs that will serve as potent catalysts for world class scholarships, best practices, innovative curriculum, research and extension and professional development in Teacher Education Program.

June 6-7, 2016 is AUP's registration/enrolment for the intersemester. The enrolment for the first semester is August 5, 2016.


The Professional Regulation Commission announced Tuesday, March 15 that 2,046 out of 2,596 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao this March 2016.

AUP ranked number one among the top ten performing schools in this recently released result: 100% - all the 96 examinees passed. In the list of top ten passers, four of our Medtech students got the following positions: John Jeron Datoy, third place; Neill Sebastien Celeste, fifth place; Iamy Gael Lilagan, eighth place; and Jeffer Barnd Bacani, ninth place.
